Something is wrong when I dream of glowing jewels that can be rearranged to form lines of 3's, 4's, 5's, or L-shaped, or T-shaped formations.
6 more weeks to Bangkok!
$301 for the air tix.
$225 for the hotel
$526 for endless shopping all day. To the land of chatuchak, platinum, pratunum, chinatown, mbk, mango sticky rice and shopping!
On the other hand, 1 more week to the last term paper to hand in. urgh.

that while I have a load of assignments to do, I am beginning to find other things to do, and I find them interesting too! Things like cleaning up the room, clearing the files in the computer, clearing the wardrobe, etc.. just things that usually don't seem so interesting without the assignments being there.
I just opened the refrigerator door, shifted things around to get to the tin box of cognac chocolate mooncakes, when the tub of margarine lost its balance and tumbled down to drop on my foot. I think it looks swollen now.
Last night was celebration for the mooncake/lantern/mid-autumn festival at 401. It rained earlier in the evening but when it stopped, the 'children' went down to play with sparklers, lanterns and candles.
Oh.. and I failed my driving yesterday too.

a week has passed, last week I was still busy preparing for the birthday. Now it's over and done with. 21st... it doesn't really feel any different, I'm still not that independent, I still rely on many people. (But I can finally go watch R21 movies! bwahahahah)
I love the people who were there on 19th, and the people who weren't (shuyi, that's you :P), the presents that were given, the help that people gave and the skies for only drizzling, instead of pouring.
Although I said I won't celebrate the 21st, but I still did, aiyah.
Now the next big year to celebrate would be the 30.. argh. That seems soooo far away. What will I be doing in 9 years time?

Just hope it doesn't turn out like the previous G900 BLERGH.
Realised something about the placement of numbers in my flat's lift! Update when I can take a picture!

A day of shopping yesterday with jie which ended with only me buying a pair of shoes (for school!)
and there was this cute wallet that jie spotted at Isetan/BHG with a rabbit motif. But this very simply looking, white and pink wallet costs $109 before a 20% discount. So who could have designed it? The designer's name was printed on the back of the wallet. A certain Jimmy Liao.
Who is Jimmy Liao? I think most people will have heard of Jimmy Choo and those expensive shoes. But Jimmy Liao?
His wallets are something like this

Jie says he is the one who drew the Turn left, Turn right book before it turned into a movie. :)

Mummy is out of the hospital!
It is the second night that mummy is spending in the hospital.
Last month, a blood report came back saying her potassium was too low, so the doctor put her on some supplements and another blood test 3 weeks later to check.
On the 11th, when they went to the polyclinic, the potassium was still too low and she was given a doctor's letter to the A&E department for more checks and to put her on a potassium drip.
Then she was to be warded for more checks and tests and drips.
No definite results from the doctor's today.
For her, potassium drips are even more painful than chemo and chemo is... And swine flu makes it hard for more visitors to visit her (only 8 nominated visitors per patient, and 2 at any one time)
Nothing serious, nothing good.
Suddenly everything seems so

Sickness over! but the antibiotics are killing my appetite, that's even worse than being sick!
I thought I was getting better yesterday, but today, my temperature rose over the day (began taking my temp hourly)
So from 37.7 degrees in the morning, it went to 38.6 degrees in the evening. The family got worried so jiejie took me to tantockseng's a&e
The place didn't seem crowded with people but the carpark was almost full.
First stage was registration of jiejie and me. I think they placed rows of stickers of my particular and barcode in a blue file and measured my temp, (38.4degrees!)

After, we were supposed to bring the blue file to this room 51 and then it was sitting down to wait for them to call my name. We put the masks on and sat down to wait, surrounded by sick people!
Then a nurse/doctor called my name to this mobile station where she asked a lot of questions which were muffled through the mask! and measured my blood pressure + oxygen level + heartbeat (heart beat was pretty fast at 127, so she kept checking manually) She passed me 2 panadol to eat and before I could even sit down to swallow, the x ray dept called.
So after a very quick x ray, jiejie was waiting outside the room and she said the doctor had called my name. The Happy Doctor (jiejie wondered if he had just come on shift, because he seemed to be in a good mood) asked a lot of questions and he prescribed more medicine!
So cthe a&e visit cost $85, the medicine cost $5, all because of this stupid fever that would not go away

Must have slept too much yesterday afternoon and it caused me to be wide awake last night. Which was a good thing too, cause I woke up feeling really cold. It turns out that my temperature rose to 39.2 degrees C last night so I had to use a cold towel over my forehead. My temperature stayed around that range throughout the night so I did not sleep well.
This morning we were considering to go hospital or the doctor to check why the temperature rose so much. But after eating the medicine, and sweating around a bit, temperature dropped to 38 degrees, so I went to sleep, and when I woke up, temperature dropped to 37 degrees! YEAH! no more fever. I'll sweat around for a while more! :D

I am not fit as I think I am, after a week of going out, and being around sick people, I fell sick myself.
On wednesday, went to the amk polyclinic with the mother for her blood test
On thursday, went to the national cancer centre with the mother for her checkup
on friday, went to the polyclinic again because they called and said there had been an emergency about mum's blood test result -turns out her potassium level was wayyyyy below normal
on saturday, picnic at marina barrage and playing in the water which might have been full of germs
on sunday, wrapped dumplings the whole day and night
So on monday, I woke up with a nasty flu and a slight fever. Took a flu pill in the afternoon and slept through the renovation drilling going on upstairs. Took panadol at night but I still woke up with a fever today.
Fever at 38.4 degrees on one thermometer, and 38.7 on another thermometer at home. 38.3 degrees measured by the doctor. He gave some antibiotics, panadol, flu med, cough med and lozenges.
Well.. at least antibiotics don't taste that awful anymore.

With one full bar on hand - "Ok, I'll just eat half of it, and save the other half for later"
With 3/4 of the bar left - "Yum yum"
*bites*
With 1/2 bar left - "I should stop eating, but i'll eat away the odd corners first"
*nibbles*
With less than 1/2 bar left - "Is that a nut? omg! I like the nuts!"
*bites away the nuts*
With 1/4 bar left - "Maybe I should just finish the whole thing..."
*nibbles*
With the empty wrapper in hand - "Now I need to exercise...."

Made a mango cake yesterday for ZB's birthday. the cake could have been baked for too long. I need to go for decorating classes. I will never use whipping cream to decorate again.
is it so hard to find common free time?

Went to cycle on saturday but I still have not learn how to cycle. Rode on the double bike that day and I got sunburnt at the areas where I forgot to put more sunblock.
On the arms where I rolled up my sleeve (of course I forgot to put sunblock on that area... who puts sunblock underneath their clothes!)
On the back of my hand, forgot to put sunblock there too.
On the legs, and on the forehead. Why does my forehead look blacker than the rest of my face?
Made pineapple jam today! I think it's going to taste like pineapple tarts if I toast some bread, slap on some butter and dump the jam on.
